One bumps 2

After principal went from our class kasun and I went to “panikkuwa”. We asked him “what happened man?”

But he was very silent and wanted to avoid our questions. Therefore we went to meet “bandi” and asked same question from him.

Then we had to get the original answer.

While we were running “panikkuwa” also following us. But he was remembered “bandi”. So he returned to find him. When he came to the previous place he saw “bandi”. But “bundi” was caught by the principal.

So he frustrated and came quickly towards the principal.

He started to cry and worship to principal. He told “sir, please forgive me.”

 So principal told “child, don’t cry and stand up”.

Then all others were started to laugh at “panikkuwa”. So he felt some shy.

After principal asked about others from them.

That’s why principal has known our names.

One bumps

When this incident happens I was at grade ten. These days our favorite subject was dancing. Because in dancing periods we can evade this class and can play. Our teacher was very kind person and she loves students. But many of boys are good for nothing.

On that day there were four guys including me evade the class and went to play ground. We started to play one bumps. It is like cricket and has several differences.

Kasun (tikka) , dinesh (bandi) and another dinesh(panikkuwa) and me(kiriputha) are the four guys.

When we were playing the ball rolled away. Tikka was the fielder and he follows the ball. He took the ball and came quickly towards us. He was frustrating and told us “parrot, parrot”.

(“parrot” is our vice principal’s nick name).

Therefore we started to escape from parrot. When Tikka and I are running we met our principal. He was very angry. So we changed our path.

  When we came to our class there were several students in our class. So we quickly moved to our places and sat. After several minutes bandi and panikkuwa came to the class. Our principal also came to our class after half an hour.

“kiriputha, kasun stand up”. He told.

So we stood up slowly.

“Why are you reducing your personality?” he asked.

But we were still silent and frustrated.

So he advised us to improve our personality and went.

But we had a question “how he knew our names?”

  

Coconut shell - 2

One fine day wasantha and lalith who are my friends were going to river. After they saw siripala was doing some works near the road.

Wasantha had an idea and he looked out surroundings. So he saw a coconut shell. He told lalith to kick that.

So lalith didn’t think twice and kicked to the coconut shell.

The coconut shell rolled and stopped between siripala’s legs.

So siripala got angry and started to scold lalith.

Wasantha was with snicker. When siripala went out two of them ran into the river. Wasantha was unable to look at lalith’s face for several days.  

Coconut shell

There is a man called siripala in our village. He is very poor man. People called him as coconut shell.

When he is told that name he gets angry. There is a river near his home.

One fine day two we went to river for taking bath. There were some boys also bathing with us.

When we were taking bath siripala is walking along the road. So other boys started to scold him and shouting “coconut shell……… coconut shell…………”

So siripala got angry and started to scold back.

His son was at home that time. He also got angry and started to throw stones to boys.

We have to hide to cover from these stones. After half an hour both of them settled and we had to leave that dangerous place.

When this incident happens I was in grade three or four. There was a boy called Janaka who is in our class. He was very naughty boy. One fine day he had stolen some money from his mother. As I mentioned it was 375 rupees. It was somewhat huge for us those days.

When he went to the school canteen the lady who is in the canteen knew about this. Because students those who in primary classes never brings such a money. Therefore she complained it to our teacher.

After an hour our principal came to our class to find Janaka. But he was not in the class. So the principal told us to find Janaka. While we are finding him there is a boy called Ajith came to visit the principal. There is a wound on his head and he is crying.

“Sir, Janaka throws a stone to me. “ Ajith said.

  That’s why he became injured. So principal accompanied him to give medicine and told us to find Janaka quickly.

After about half an hour we saw Janaka is running.

“I am going home.” He is shouting.

So we started to follow him. There are two boys following with me. They are Ruwan and Asanka Wimal. We had to follow Janaka about half a mile. He crept through a fence. We were unable to find him. So we took a rest. After several minutes we saw him again. He was running towards his home. So we started to follow him again.

But we are met his aunt. She started to scold us. Because after creeping through fence Janaka wounded. So we return back to the school.

When we came to school the principal was standing behind the gate and he was very angry.

“Idiots, I told you to find only school area not outside.” He said.

I think you can imagine what happened after.
